Table Mountain
Table Mountain is one of the most famous landmarks in South Africa. It is situated near Cape Town. It is a flat-topped mountain that attracts many tourists.
The mountain is famous for its flat plateau which is almost 3 square kilometers. The plateau is surrounded by very steep cliffs. To the east is Devil’s Peak and to the west is Lion’s Head. The mountain is steeping dramatically towards the Table Bay harbor and the city.
The highest point on the mountain is Maclear’s Beacon. It stands at 1,086 meters above the sea level. It was constructed by him in 1865 for survey purposes. The plateau is divided in two by the “Flat Stone George” which is a popular thing to see there. Very often the mountain is covered by clouds that form when air coming from the south-east meets the colder air form the slopes. The clouds that result are called table cloth clouds. There is a local legend that whenever there are clouds on the mountain there is a smoking competition going between the Devil and the famous pirate Van Hunks.
The mountain and its plateau are popular places for tourists. There is the Table Mountain Cableway that brings passengers from the lower station on the Tafelberg Station to the top of the mountain. The cable station is situated on the western end of the plateau. From there tourists can enjoy the beautiful views over Cape Town, Table Bay, Robben Island and the Atlantic. The cableway was constructed in 1926 and was renovated in 1997. The modern cars offer a 360 degree view during the travel and can rotate. About 65 passengers can use the cableway at the same time. Moreover, there is a restaurant, viewpoints, curio shops and various trails starting from the upper stop of the cableway.

Crime in South Africa
South Africa is ranked as a middle-income country by the UN with a well-developed and diversified economy. South Africa alone contributes to a great part of the GDP of the whole African continents. It is a country of contrasts where some aspects of live are comparable to other developed nations as well as areas and whole regions that lack even basic infrastructure.
The country is troubled by very high rates of crime that reflect the social difference and inequality that exist in the country. According to research done by the United Nations South Africa has been ranked second in the world for murder and first for assault and rapes per capita. Statistics say that more than 50 people are killed every day in the country. 55,000 women are raped every year. Furthermore, the country ranks 10th in the world based on total crime. There is a very high incidence of child and baby rape in the country as well as well as gang rapes.
These huge levels of crime have encouraged the development of the so-called gated communities. Middle and higher class South Africans hide in them away from the reality of that grips the streets of the cities in the country. These residential areas have strict control over entry of people on foot or in vehicles. They very often have high fences with bard wire and even walls. Many foreigners and the white population live in such closed communities. They have most necessary facilities in them and do not leave them for most daily activities.
Xenophobia is another big issue in South Africa. The country is famous for its anti-apartheid movement led by the legendary Nelson Mandela. In recent year the xenophobic movement has turned in the other direction. Crime against the white farming community has become commonplace. More than 3,000 Caucasian farmers have been killed based on racial prejudices and conflicts.

Things to Remember When Looking for Car Insurance
When looking for car insurance, there are a lot of things that you need to remember. This especially applies for individuals who are getting a car insurance policy for the first time. You essentially want to get the best type and amount of coverage for the lowest premium possible. Here are some of the things that you need to keep in mind when searching for a policy.
Before actually looking for a policy to get, you need to first evaluate what you need out of your car insurance policy. This means that you have to assess how much coverage you need. This would help you decide which your coverage options you need to have in the policy. Some of the coverage options that most car insurance policies often come with include bodily injury liability, property damage liability, collision coverage, comprehensive coverage, underinsured motorist coverage and uninsured motorist coverage.
It is also important to take your time in shopping around and comparing the different types of policies. A lot of first-time car insurance buyers make the mistake of going for the first cheap policy they come across with, only to find out later on that the policy is unable to provide the coverage that they are looking for. You should also not allow yourself to be talked by an agent into buying a policy which you are not really sure whether you want to buy or not.
Lastly, it would be important to find out about all of the terms and conditions of the policy before getting it. Be sure to ask any of the questions that you have to clarify all of your concerns by talking with an agent or calling the customer service hotline of the insurance company. This would prevent having wrong assumptions or misconceptions about the policy and the coverage it provides.
Worthy services
Last weekend we enjoyed a mini trip in the city with all my friends. We were 6 members hired two cars with the car rental services of cheap car hire. The services are reliable, fast and offer reasonable rates.
We hired super luxury cars; it was with full transmission, air-conditioned, 4 doors, electronic route map, and were even with unlimited mileage. The travel guide helped us a lot to select the places of interest; we started our trip from Buckingham palace; this is the place where Queen of the United Kingdom resides, it was fabulous watching owes and march of the soldiers in her presence. Then we drove our car to London Eye; it was a memorable riding in the glass bubbles.
Then we enjoyed eating at the royal restaurants, and relaxed in the bath spas. Next day our trip continued to visit the Clock Tower, British Museum, National Gallery, Tate Modern, and National Maritime Museum. We gathered good information about the art, architecture, British culture and heritage. This website can be suggested to anyone for their trips.
Thanks for the car and the car rental services. I shall advise others to use them.
